A new survey of 1000 remote workers by Digital.com reveals some surprising reasons many people want to continue working from home. The survey found that three-quarters of those who owned pets want to stay home because of those pets. About the same percentage want to be able to nap or exercise, or watch TV or listen to podcasts or music, during the day. And over three in five worry about how they look, which makes sense given the data we have seen on weight gain during the pandemic. But the most common reasons given for wanting to continue to work from home were child care and not having to commute to work. While these results might seem like remote workers are being lazy, it seems that many remote workers have found that they can be more productive working on their own schedules, wearing whatever helps them feel good.
Through the stories of a dozen athletes whose injuries and recovery advanced the field (including Joan Benoit, Michael Jordan, Brandi Chastain, and Tommy John), Dr. Geier explains how sports medicine makes sports safer for the pros, amateurs, student-athletes, and weekend warriors alike.
