I welcome comments on any of the topics I discuss on this blog, on The Dr. David Geier Show and in social media. I believe that ideas from readers from across the United States and all over the world can truly elevate and promote the sports medicine conversation.
However, I have created basic guidelines that apply to anyone who wishes to participate in these discussions. This page contains my comments policy. By posting on my blog, you agree to the following conditions:
You understand and agree to the following disclaimer about medical advice and information. By reading and viewing the information on drdavidgeier.com and in any products, courses or programs promoted on the Site, you acknowledge that, though I am a licensed professional, I am unable to conduct the extensive analysis that I would in order to give a medical diagnosis. Therefore, the information I provide is not intended nor implied to convey medical advice, or be a medical opinion or diagnosis. Rather, the information I provide on this Site is intended as merely educational and informational. The information provided on this site and in these courses or programs should not be considered a substitute for in-person evaluation by a doctor or healthcare provider to address your individual needs.
You may comment publicly or anonymously. I encourage you to share your identity when you leave comments and questions. You can log in through Disqus, Twitter, Facebook or Google+, or you can post by submitting your name only. You can even post anonymously, although I believe the community grows when we know who is participating.
You may post questions about the topics discussed. In fact, I encourage you to ask your questions publicly. I expect that many of you have similar questions. By posting your questions in a blog post’s comments, I can offer my thoughts to everyone.
You may ask questions about medical topics but understand that I cannot offer specific medical advice. As with questions submitted through the Contact form, through voicemail submission for The Dr. David Geier Show, by email or through social media, I cannot and will not offer specific medical advice. The information I share in all of these media is intended for informational and educational purposes only. Please consult your physician for specific medical questions or concerns.
You may disagree with me or other readers. I welcome debate about these topics. I do insist that if you disagree with me or anyone else, please do so in a respectful manner.
I reserve the right to delete your comments. This is my blog. I have no obligation to publish your comments. You have the right to publish your thoughts on your own platform but not on mine.
Specifically, I will delete your comments if you post something that is, in my sole opinion:
- Off-topic
- Offensive in any way, including comments I deem abusive, defamatory, false, harassing, profane, threatening
- “Spam” – an attempt to advertise, solicit, or otherwise promote goods and services. You may, however, post a link to your site or your most recent blog post.
Your comments are your own. I do not own them. By commenting anywhere on my blog, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post. You also agree that you will relieve me from any and all liability that may result from those postings.
By posting a comment or question, you grant me a license to post it and use it. This license is worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, and royalty-free. You grant me the right to store, use, transmit, display, publish, reproduce, and distribute your comments in any format, including but not limited to blog posts, or other articles, books, talks, webinars, informational courses, or videos.
I want to emphasize that these guidelines are meant in no way to discourage your questions and comments. In fact, I welcome them. I strongly believe that if we can keep our opinions and questions informative, respectful and pertinent to the topics discussed, the overall conversation will be much greater for everyone.
