It’s Cervical Health Awareness Month. Thousands of women are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year, but it’s largely preventable. Boys and girls should receive the HPV vaccine at age 11 or 12. Pap and HPV screening tests can detect cell changes to the cervix caused by HPV. If you’re a woman over 30, talk to your doctor about these tests.
