What relieves hip arthritis without surgery?

If you have hip arthritis, you’re probably wondering what treatments can help you get relief without surgery. Well, there is good news: there are a few different options that could help.

My name is Dr. David Geier – orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, and anti-aging and regenerative medicine expert. I help you feel, look and perform your best, regardless of age or injury.

Hip arthritis is a very common condition that affects millions of people every year. It can be debilitating and difficult to manage, but there are many treatments you can try before resorting to hip replacement surgery.

Let’s start with anti-inflammatory medications. There are both the oral medications and topical. These drugs can help reduce pain and inflammation in your joints, which means they can be helpful for some people with hip arthritis. They work by preventing certain cells from releasing enzymes that cause inflammation—which also causes pain. There are limits to how much of these medications a person can take, and they do have side effects, so they might not be great long-term options for some people.

The next treatment is physical therapy. Physical therapy involves exercises designed to strengthen your muscles around the hip joint to take pressure off the damaged bone and cartilage. The physical therapist will also work with you to improve your range of motion of your hip joint to make it easier to do what you do every day. It’s best if you do these exercises under the supervision of a physical therapist, at least at first, so you learn to do the exercises correctly. They can also look at your desired exercise and daily activities and teach you how to modify those activities to minimize your pain while doing them.

Finally, if you are looking to avoid hip replacement and are willing to consider treatments that are considered experimental or are used off-label, regenerative medicine has a number of exciting treatment options. A variety of supplements, medications, peptides, PRP, stem cells, exosomes, and many others can be used in isolation, or as I recommend, in combination, to decrease pain, improve function, and hopefully allow you to do what you want to do, as well as you want to do it, for as long as you want to do it, without surgery or cortisone shots.

We are looking for 5 patients with hip pain who want to get significantly better in the next 30 days, without cortisone shots, physical therapy, or surgery. Click this link and enter the term ‘Interested’ in the description box to learn more.
