According to an Israeli study looking at 1.2 million people, the Pfizer vaccine appears to cut symptoms of COVID-19 by over 90 percent. Among people who received the vaccine, the rate of infected people who felt ill was 94% lower and the rate of serious illness was 92% lower. This real-world data seems to confirm data from the Pfizer trials showing the vaccine provided 95% protection against symptomatic COVID-19. Now, this research hasn’t been peer-reviewed yet, but it appears to be more evidence that getting the COVID-19 vaccine greatly reduces your chances of being hospitalized or dying from the coronavirus.
