As we head into fall, with COVID-19 cases at high levels across much of the U.S., it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot. Evidence clearly shows that the flu vaccines reduce the severity of the flu if you get it and reduce the chance of being hospitalized, which could help maintain healthcare resources for COVID-19 patients. Yet, despite this evidence, less than half of adults and only about 60 percent of children get the flu vaccine each year.
