Dr. David Geier is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist in Charleston, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina. He helps athletes and active people feel and perform their best, regardless of age, injuries and medical history. Lacrosse is the fastest growing high school sport. The number of schools in the National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS) that sponsor boys’ lacrosse has increased 96% in the last 10 years. The number that sponsor girls’ lacrosse has jumped over 126% in the last 10 years.
At the youth level, participation in lacrosse has increased 57% for boys and 43% for girls in the last five years.
