We are well over six months into mask mandates across the country trying to limit the spread of the coronavirus. With the first phase of vaccine administration underway, it’s natural to ask, “When will we be able to stop wearing masks?” Generally, it will come down to a few factors: enough people getting the vaccine to significantly cut the number of COVID-19 cases or reaching herd immunity. I hate to say it, but I doubt that will be any time soon. Some experts even believe the coronavirus will infect people for years.
