Stanford researchers are testing a low-cost, at-home saliva test for COVID-19. The scientists designed the test to be easy to use and provide results within 30 minutes. The test is supposedly easy to manufacture, as the team aims to produce millions of these tests per day. They are also expected to cost $5 or less. If the test proves to be accurate in diagnosing COVID-19 infection, it could be a major step forward to counter the rise in cases across the country.
