If your kids got their flu vaccine or you plan to get them the flu shot, it might protect them somewhat against COVID-19. Researchers at the University of Missouri studied more than 900 children diagnosed with COVID-19. They found that the children who received a seasonal flu shot were less likely to suffer symptoms from a COVID-19 infection. They were also less likely to develop respiratory problems or severe disease. They found that kids who received the pneumococcal vaccine also had lower risk of COVID symptoms.
