According to a new study published in Science Magazine, young adults are most responsible for spread of the coronavirus. Researchers at Imperial College London found that people between the ages of 20 and 49 accounted for 72 percent of COVID-19 transmission across the U.S. after October. Kids 19 and under, on the other hand, accounted for less than 10 percent of infection spread. Possibly somewhat controversially, these researchers argue the data supports focusing our vaccination efforts on this young adult population to best control the spread of COVID-19 infections.
